Ystad Golfklubb is an 18-hole course in Skåne County, Sweden, where strategy matters as much as distance. The front nine winds across Nybrofältet and crosses the Nybroå river, with water coming into play on several holes. Leaving the driver in the bag in favour of shorter clubs can pay off here, and using the course guide to plan each shot is a smart approach. Halfway through the round, a kiosk and restaurant at the turn offers a welcome stop for coffee, a snack, or a drink before heading out again. The back nine brings more wind into the equation. Holes 11 and 12 are particularly enjoyable challenges where the breeze regularly influences club selection. Hole 15 looks straightforward at first glance, and par is achievable if you stay straight — but a pair of substantial bunkers demand respect. The renovated 18th, complete with new bunkers and heather lining the fairway, makes for a pleasant walk up toward the clubhouse and a well-earned drink at the finish.
