Yakurai Golf Club

Yakurai Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside course spread across the lower slopes of Mount Yakurai in Kami, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The layout is notably flat, with sparse trees and low brush separating each hole, keeping sightlines open across the course. The feel is reminiscent of British links golf — and when the wind picks up, scoring becomes genuinely difficult. Fairways are generous throughout, and tee shots offer clear views to the pin, making it straightforward to plan your approach. The greens are large, receptive, and feature natural undulation that rewards accurate iron play. The front nine traces the outer perimeter of the property, while the back nine unfolds within that loop. The 18th hole is a highlight: a bold tee shot aimed directly toward Mount Yakurai to close out the round.
