Woodlands Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 private course in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, opened in 1913 and shaped over the decades by J.D.A. Scott, Mick Morcom, Alec Russell, and Tom Doak. The layout rewards positioning as much as power. Hole 4 is a short, driveable par 4 with a narrow tabletop green. Hole 5 is a par 3 defined by deep yawning bunkers. Hole 13 is a par 4 where placement off the tee matters more than distance. Hole 15, a par 5, was rated by Tom Doak as one of the 18 best par 5s in the world. Practice facilities include a driving range with practice balls, a putting green, a short-game area, and coaching from Head Teaching Professional Steve Horstmann, who runs comprehensive clinics. The 1927 Edward Billson-designed clubhouse includes a dining room with views across the 1st fairway, where Executive Chef Paul Golding prepares seasonal menus. The Members' Bar offers a sociable space with cold beer and good wine. A terrace overlooks the 18th green. Woodlands Golf Club is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Victoria.
