Woodforest Golf Club

Woodforest Golf Club is a 27-hole layout in Montgomery, Texas, designed by PGA professional Steve Elkington and open for daily fee play since 2001. Carved through the pines and oaks of Northwest Houston, the course is built around playability, welcoming golfers of all skill levels. The greens are a particular point of pride, averaging between 11 and 12 on the stimpmeter 95% of the time and earning statewide and regional recognition as the best in Houston. Maintaining consistent playing conditions is the club's stated top priority, with the emphasis placed on feel over aesthetics. Facilities include a pro shop, the Sandbagger's Grille, a driving range, separate putting and chipping greens, and practice bunkers. Daily private and group instruction is available from the onsite PGA staff. The course plays over 50,000 rounds per year and has hosted a range of Texas Golf Association events, including the State Amateur Qualifier, Mid-Am Qualifier, State Senior 4-Ball Championship, and TGA Legends Junior Tour tournaments. It is also in its 4th year as host of the 72-hole PGA Champions Tour Qualifying School.
