This a beautiful mountain golf course! It’s about 30 minutes north of AVL and well worth the drive. The course is carved out of the Blue Ridge mountains with spectacular views. The fairways are well manicured which is good since you rarely have a level lie. The greens are in perfect shape and very difficult to read and putt. On the second green I had an 8 foot birdie putt I ran 2 feet past the hole and it slowly began to roll and stopped 20 yards off the green! Every player in our game had a similar outcome at least once during the round. This is a relatively short track that will humble you. Go with a good attitude and a couple extra sleeves of balls and I promise you will have a great time. My only criticism is that they charge $5 for a bag of 30 practice balls when you’re already paying a significant green fee. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. If you get the chance to go, do it. I will go again.
