Williston Golf Club

A popular round among Hole19 golfers in Vermont, Williston Golf Club draws consistent attention in Williston, Vermont — and the course has the history and character to back it up. Designed by Ben Murray and opened in 1927, this public 18-hole parkland layout plays to 6,163 yards from the back tees across flat and undulating terrain lined with maples, pines, and willows. Three holes stand out. Hole 3 plays to a virtual island green encircled by a pond, out of bounds, and a road. Hole 14 is a double dog-leg widely regarded as the most difficult hole in Vermont. Hole 16 has recorded more aces than any other hole in Vermont — over 250 since 1960. The course has hosted the 2023 VSWGA Women's Senior Championship, the 2021 VGA Men's Amateur Championship, the 2018 VGA Men's Senior Championship, the 2016 VGA Men's Mid-Am Championship, and the 2015 Vermont Masters Tournament. The pro shop is staffed with PGA Professionals, including a former Vermont PGA Merchandiser of the Year. Old Duffers Tavern is on site.
