Rated a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Oregon, Widgi Creek Golf Club in Bend, Oregon has built a track record that backs that reputation up with numbers. The public 18-hole layout opened in 1995, was named among the best new courses of that year, and has since been voted Central Oregon's favorite public golf course over 20 times by readers of The Source. Golf Digest also rates it annually among its Best Places to Play. The course runs between 5,000 and 7,000 yards across tree-lined fairways and undulating greens. Hole 3 is a 653-yard Par 5, one of the longest in the country. Hole 11 is a 216-yard Par 3. Practice facilities are extensive: a natural grass driving range with 25 or more grass hitting stations, two putting greens including a 13,000-plus square foot green, and a 5,000-plus square foot chipping green with two bunkers and a 60-yard short game area.
