Greens were good, fairways were still Bermuda transitioning out of dormancy. This course will punish you though if you can’t hit it straight. Not recommended for casual golfers.

I am sorry to say this but thunder valley owning this course is a mistake....anyone who knows anything about grass knows that Bermuda goes dormant below 60....it needs to be under seeded by perennial rye or Kentucky blue to have a chance and you certainly should not water it in the winter.....this course is destroyed by bad decisions and looks like crap....just played it on 3_9_18....not worth 56 bucks...... maintinence is also crappy since divots in the fairways look like nothing has been repaired in months....the greens are spotty and rough and have been marred by fungi that has taken over and you can tell they had a crab grass problem .....probably from crappy reclaimed water placer county keeps pushing on these muni track courses....this place needs a new superintendent with a heart for grass not a paycheck....nothing is being done here and this was the worst round of golf ever....they should be paying me to play here .....
