Whitevale Golf Club

Whitevale Golf Club, a private 18-hole course in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, opened in 1958 on land whose history is still visible today — the original farmhouse is incorporated into the clubhouse, the Beatty Pump windmill has been restored and remains a fixture on the property, and the farm's driving shed once served as the pro shop. The layout sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, with undulating topography, an underlying aquifer, and vegetation supporting rare and endangered species. That environmental character earned the club Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification on July 20, 2004, making it the 45th course in Canada and 504th in the world to receive the designation. Yardage plays from 5,176 to 6,657 yards. Practice facilities are extensive. The driving range features a 1.5-acre tee deck stretching to 350-plus yards, with grass hitting stations rotated daily and properly cut greens at ten target distances. Two short-game areas each have large undulating greens guarded by sand traps and manicured fringes. Separate putting greens sit behind the 1st and 10th tees.
