Westmoreland Country Club

Westmoreland Country Club, a private 18-hole course in Wilmette, Illinois, opened in 1912 and was designed by William Watson. The club has hosted a notable run of tournaments: the Western Open in 1917, the Western Amateur in 1921, the Western Golf Association's Junior Girls Tourney in 1924 and again in 1934, the Chicago District Golf Association's Women's Championship in 1936, and the 42nd annual U.S.G.A. Women's Amateur Championship in 1938. The clubhouse includes a poolside cafe, a Cocktail Lounge renovated and reopened in early 2003, a Grill Room, the Monticello Cellar, the Windsor Room, a Library, a Living Room, and outdoor space on the Bluestone Patio and Crab Apple Patio.
