Description
Westerwood Spa & Golf Resort is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Scotland, and it's easy to see why. Designed by Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas, this 18-hole layout winds through silver birches and wild heather with views across the Campsie and Kilsyth Hills. The signature hole is the par 3 15th, conceived by Seve himself. Known as the Waterfall hole, it plays from an elevated tee down to a green framed by a 60-foot rock face — a stern test of nerve. The undulating moorland greens add further difficulty, particularly on shorter putts. After your round, the Club Bar is on hand to unwind and revisit the highlights over a drink and a snack. Memberships are available from £295.

Alex ClaytonNovember 01, 2021James in the pro shop was great. Really welcoming, friendly and had a laugh. Unfortunately the course is not so good. The layout/design design the course is really nice with some lovely feature holes and plenty of scenic views in the background of the mountains. Some challenging holes and the rough is ruthless which adds another challenge. The general course condition was very poor though. Greens were moss and pin positions were like playing crazy golf. The course has great potential and I'd imagine back in its hay day it was fantastic. Just needs a lot of TLC and would be great again.

Nice course but greens are terrible hollow tined full of pitch marks and too dry really hard for me to putt on bumps all over the place 7.5/10
