Designed by Stan Gentry and opened in 1999, this semi-private 18-hole layout in North Carolina plays to a par 71, stretching from 6,609 yards off the Black Tees to 4,423 yards from the Red Tees. Rolling terrain runs throughout, shaped around the 52-acre Lake Wright. The lake comes into play prominently on two signature holes: hole 1, Dream Catcher, a medium-length par 5 that showcases the lake, and hole 16, The Beast, a par 3 surrounded on three sides by water. Golf Digest has awarded the course a five-star rating, and it has received the Green Dozier Award from the State of North Carolina. The renovated pro shop includes custom fixtures, expanded merchandise lines, custom fitting, and same-day club repair. Lessons are available on site. The Champions Grill serves as both restaurant and bar, featuring five flat screens and a 17-foot bar.
