Wanganui Golf Club - Belmont Links, a semi-private links course in Westmere, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand, opened in 1908 and stretches to 6,597 yards over a par-70 layout. The course plays across sandy subsoil with sloping fairways, elevated tees, and blind tee shots throughout. Hole 2, dubbed Seaview, is a 140-metre par three. Hole 12, French Pass, is a 195-metre test with a tight drive and out-of-bounds left. Hole 18, Imlay, is regarded as one of the most challenging closing par fours in New Zealand. The club has hosted the New Zealand Open on seven occasions between 1911 and 1978, the New Zealand Amateur (males) six times, and the New Zealand Amateur (females) at least six times. It is ranked one of the top two courses in the Whanganui-Manawatu region and rated among the top 25 courses by NZ Golf Digest. It is also one of the most-played courses in Manawatu-Wanganui on Hole19. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, and chipping green. The new clubhouse offers views of the back eight holes.
