Virginia Beach National Golf Club opened in May 1999 as the premier public course in the Tidewater Area of Virginia. Designed by Pete Dye with input from PGA Tour Hall of Famer Curtis Strange, the 18-hole layout weaves through natural grasses and waste areas, with rolling fairways and tour-quality greens. From the championship tees, the par-72 course stretches beyond 7,200 yards — a test that has drawn top-level competition as a former host of the Nationwide Tour's Virginia Beach Open. Five sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all abilities. It is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Virginia.
