Vail Golf Club

Vail Golf Club is an 18-hole mountain course set within the White River National Forest, framed by views of the Gore Mountain Range and designed by Vail pioneer Ben Krueger in 1962. The layout stretches 6,766 yards from the longest tees to a par of 71. Fairways are tree-lined and largely flat, but fairway and greenside bunkers, along with beaver ponds, demand accurate ball-striking throughout. Greens follow the scenic Gore Creek and play smooth, while the high-altitude environment lets the ball fly roughly 10 percent farther than at sea level. Course ratings of 71.2/132 from the back tees and 60.2/103 from the forward tees reflect a range that suits golfers of varying abilities. Golf Digest has recognized it as a Top 100 Resort Course, and it remains a must-play for both locals and visitors in the Vail Valley.
