Vaaler Creek Golf Club

Vaaler Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private course in the Texas Hill Country, designed by Michael Lowry and opened in 2009. The layout moves through rolling topography, live oaks, limestone canyons, and water features. That combination of terrain has drawn consistent recognition: Golf Now ranked it the number one golf course in the Texas Hill Country, Golf Advisor placed it 11th among the best courses in Texas in 2019 and 10th in the country for best course conditions in 2015, Golfweek listed it 19th on its Best New Courses list in 2011, and the Dallas Morning News ranked it 10th among the best Texas courses priced between $75 and $125 in 2025. The driving range runs from 50 yards to 350 yards across seven target greens with a wide, deep tee box. Golf lessons are available through Edwin Dickens, PGA Head Golf Professional, in both private and group formats. The pro shop carries clothing from Adidas, Greg Norman, FootJoy, Travis Mathew, and others, alongside equipment from Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, Ping, and more. A community swimming pool is also on site.
