Uguisu Forest Golf Club Bato

Uguisu Forest Golf Club Bato is an 18-hole hillside course in Nakagawa, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, built across rolling terrain that demands precise shot-making throughout. The front nine opens with a downhill par 5 on the 1st hole, then features a picturesque par 3 over water on the 5th. The 8th is an uphill par 5 rated as the number-one handicap hole, and the 9th bends right with tee-shot placement being the key decision. The back nine follows a similar rhythm. The par 3 14th plays long and is considered one of the harder short holes on the course. The 17th is a shorter par 4, but the second shot is played from a downslope to an approach over water. The 18th closes with a pond and fountain directly ahead and a creek running the left side, requiring a controlled, disciplined attack. Throughout the round, the greens feature multiple tiers — two or three levels on many holes — making putting an area that demands careful attention on every surface.
