Three Rivers Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Kelso, Washington, and a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Washington. Opened in 1983 alongside the Cowlitz River, the course is owned by the Kelso-Longview Elks BPOE 1482. The ground beneath the course has an unusual origin: the base material was deposited in the Cowlitz River by the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens and later removed by dredging. That porous mix of ash, dust, sand, and silt drains exceptionally well, making Three Rivers a go-to option for golfers along the I-5 corridor when other Northwest courses are too wet to play. Poa annua greens putt reliably year-round, and winter rye fairways hold up through the colder months. Four sets of tee boxes give golfers of varying distances a comfortable fit.
