What a great track. Very singular in its presentation which makes it extremely memorable. There’s a good balance of par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s. With challenging greens which have numerous undulations this makes the course a test of all departments of the game. The course goes right out to the turn and then straight back so the conditions will test the best golfer if you are into the wind on the way out! There are a number of signature holes and the one most will rennet is 18 ‘the garden hole’ but there are many others which are worthy of the title of most memorable. ‘Bull Island’ is a very classic links terrain and this Colt course, the second oldest in Ireland deserves a place amongst the best and I would recommend it to every golf enthusiasts ‘golfing bucket list’.
