The Quarry at Crystal Springs

The Quarry at Crystal Springs is a public 18-hole course in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and one of the most-played courses in Missouri on Hole19. The site has a history stretching back to 1888, when the Crystal Springs Quarry was established on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River Valley. The name comes from the many clear springs that wind through the property. Over a century later, that historic quarry land was converted into a golf facility open to the public. The course is defined by its natural setting. Federally Protected Wetlands, Environmentally Sensitive Areas, large lakes, and native prairie grass all shape the layout and provide habitat for wildlife. Woods border three sides of the course, while Creve Coeur Park borders the fourth. The result is a round that feels removed from suburban development — nature, not a neighboring subdivision, frames every hole.
