The Oaks at River's Edge

The Oaks at River's Edge is a public 18-hole course in Pontiac, Illinois, owned and operated by the City of Pontiac. Originally built as a 9-hole layout, it was expanded to 18 holes in 1975 and has since established itself as one of the finest facilities in the area — and one of the most-played courses in Illinois on Hole19. The course is built on bentgrass throughout, with greens, fairways, and tees all sharing the same surface. Mature trees line the layout, while sand and water add consistent challenge to shot-making. Water comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes, and three par-3s stretch beyond 200 yards. The greens are large and undulating, demanding careful approach play and putting from golfers of all skill levels.
