The Mendip Golf Club

Rated 4.7 and a popular round among Hole19 golfers in England, The Mendip Golf Club has been drawing players to its Somerset downland since 1908. The 18-hole, par-71 layout stretches 6,383 yards from the white tees across undulating terrain with downland turf and a north-facing slope. The opening hole sets the tone early: a sharply uphill tee shot with trees right and out of bounds left. Semi-private access means the course is open to visiting golfers. Practice facilities include eight undercover driving range bays with TaylorMade balls, a large chipping and putting green, a practice bunker, and a short game area. The Golf Academy has PGA Professionals on hand for coaching programmes, clinics, one-to-one sessions, and studio work using the Foresight Golf simulator. The pro shop carries equipment, clothing, shoes, and accessories. The clubhouse restaurant covers everyday coffee and sandwiches through to Sunday lunches, celebrations, and Christmas parties, with bespoke menus available.
