Reviews for The Heron Golf Club

There are plenty of exciting changes at the South Essex Golf Club. Operation of the Club and it’s 3 nine hole courses (Heron, Hawk and Vixen) has returned to the family that own the site, which ends the tenure of Crown Golf. There’s certainly some significant investment taking place to raise the status of the Club with a new fleet of GPS buggies, refurbished members bar, Toptracer being installed in all the range bays and a large club house extension taking place that will house a new function and events room. The course has benefitted with a tidy up of the rough removing brambles, some trees and cutting back around fairway edges. I’m told there’s a lot more to come over the coming months. Loved playing the challenging Heron and Hawk courses on a beautiful late Summer September morning. All the staff I met were welcoming and enthusiastic. This is the type of Club I want to be a member of so I decided to take the plunge and join the Club as a Gold 5 day member.
