The Greenbrier Sporting Club (The Snead)

Routed through natural meadows, rolling forested hills, and across terrain framed by three scenic mountains in West Virginia, United States, The Greenbrier Sporting Club (The Snead) is a private 18-hole, par-71 course designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2004. It stretches to 7,041 yards. The opening stretch sets the layout's character early: hole 1 (Ante Up, par 4) leads into hole 2 (Lake Ashford, par 4), hole 3 (Grandstand, par 3), and hole 4 (Runway, par 5). Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, short game area, and instructional programs covering individual, couple, and group lessons. The Golf Shop, on the northside of The Sporting Club Lodge, carries top brands, logoed apparel, gifts, and equipment. The Lodge Dining Room, located within the private Members' Clubhouse and overlooking the 18th hole, is the course's primary dining venue. A lounge is open during regular dining hours. The clubhouse also houses a Sam Snead museum displaying memorabilia including his Masters Green Jacket.
