The Fortress Golf Course

The Fortress Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout in Frankenmuth, Michigan, stretching between 6,000 and 6,800 yards. Designed by Dick Nugent and opened in 1992, the course plays across bent-grass tees, fairways, and greens, with fescue-covered mounds, lush sectioned greens, and 75 bunkers shaping play throughout the round. Golf Digest and Golfweek have both recognized the course, and it ranks among Michigan's top 25 golf courses. Practice options include a target-oriented driving range, a putting green, and a short game area. Golf lessons are available from the professional staff using V1 technology, high-speed video analysis, and Trackman Fitting. The pro shop carries Levelwear, Footjoy, Nike, Titleist, Mizuno, and Lululemon. The pavilion between the 1st tee and 18th green serves a full lunch and dinner menu, including carving stations, pig roasts, barbecues, and theme events. The outdoor pavilion can be reserved for up to 180 guests.
