The Country Club at Silver Springs Shores

The Country Club at Silver Springs Shores opened in 1969 and offers 18 holes designed by Desmond Muirhead, a longtime Jack Nicklaus associate best known for his work on Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio. The two nines play quite differently from one another. The front nine has the feel of a traditional parkland course, with large native trees and wide landing areas. The back nine delivers a distinctly Florida experience, with water in play on six of the nine holes. The greens throughout are regarded as among the fastest and most severe in the area. The course has a strong competitive history, having hosted mini-tour events, US Open Sectional qualifying, and Hooters Tour events won by PGA Tour players Zach Johnson and Chad Campbell. The 19,000 sq. ft. clubhouse includes a full-service restaurant and bar, a large hall for banquets and golf functions, complete locker room facilities, and a well-stocked golf shop.
