Description
Pete Dye himself called hole 12 at The Cardinal by Pete Dye the hardest par three he ever designed — a claim made after the hole's restoration that gives this 18-hole semi-private course in North Carolina a clear point of distinction. The layout moves through terrain shaped by two lakes, a countryside stream, and wooded glades, giving the par-70 routing a varied natural character. The course opened in 1974 and remains one of Dye's earlier American designs. A driving range is available to members and guests on the day of play. Class A PGA professionals are on site for personal instruction. The Golf Shop is open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
