Description
The Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society, founded in 1761, is the fourth oldest golf club in the world and one of Scotland's most prestigious, sitting just 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre and around an hour from The Old Course, St Andrews. The 18-hole mature parkland course was originally designed by Willie Park Jnr, with later modifications by Dr Alister MacKenzie and James Braid. Since 2011, The R&A has selected Bruntsfield as a Qualifying Venue for the Open Championship — a mark of the course's quality. The club is also known for the quality of its lunch, prepared with local produce and served daily in the upstairs Dining Room, which looks out over the Firth of Forth. Rated 4.8 by Hole19 golfers, it is one of the most-played courses in Scotland on Hole19.

Geo SteveApril 03, 20232023 season is off to a good start, course is in fairly good condition (April 3rd) but will improve dramatically with warmer weather. A fairly long and challenging layout, with good pace and variation. It is of course essentially a parkland course, not links, and it’s nowhere near Bruntsfield! A great clubhouse, good catering, relaxed vibe, plenty of changing areas and hot showers! Disclosure: written by a member.
