The Bluffs on Thompson Creek is an 18-hole layout in Louisiana designed by Arnold Palmer, who was given complete creative freedom to shape the course around the land itself. Palmer walked each section of the property before settling on the best routing, and the result is a course that moves through dense forest, along a white sand creek shore, and across terrain that shifts dramatically underfoot. Shots play over hills, off bluffs, and down into hollows, with elevation changes reaching as much as 50 feet between points on the course. The variety of landscapes gives each stretch of the round a distinct character, making The Bluffs on Thompson Creek one of the more naturally diverse courses in the region.
