This is by far the best conditioned course I have played to date in England. 17 years since the last Ryder cup was played here the course is up-to the same standard. Obviously being a Ryder cup course no one expects it to be easy, it’s extremely long and even after a great drive off the tee don’t expect your second shot to be a wedge. The most frustrating thing about the course was the rough, it was so think and deep, if you missed the fairway by a couple yards it was near impossible to find your ball and it ruined my score card. I’m assuming being October they are not cutting the rough. Highlight is the 10th Hole which is very tempting to try and drive the green like Seve.
