The 500 Club

The 500 Club is a public 18-hole championship course set in the foothills of northwest Phoenix, designed by Brian Whitcomb as a par 72 layout stretching 6,867 yards from the tips. From the championship tees, the course carries a slope of 122 and a rating of 72.2. The regular tees play to a slope of 118 and a 69.0 rating, while beginners have a dedicated set at slope 112 and a 69.8 rating — making the course genuinely accessible across ability levels. The desert landscape is left largely intact, with mountain views framing the maintained tees, fairways, and greens. It is one of the few public daily-fee courses in Phoenix to offer this combination of scenic terrain and open access. The staff accommodates groups, leagues, corporate outings, and walk-on play. Walking is welcome.
