Thames Ditton and Esher Golf Club, founded in 1892, is one of Surrey's more characterful layouts — a mature, inland links-style course with some of the best-kept greens in the county. It plays to 5,190 yards, par 66, across 18 holes configured as 9 holes played from two sets of tees, making for a fair and enjoyable round at any level. The course sits on exceptionally free-draining soil, keeping it open for play 52 weeks a year in all but the most extreme conditions. Flexibility is a genuine feature here: you can play a quick 3-hole loop of the 1st, 2nd, and 9th within easy reach of the clubhouse, step up to a 9 or 11-hole competition, or take on the full 18-hole medal format. Weekly Sunday competitions are open to all members, and the club prides itself on a warm welcome for visitors and members alike.
