Texarkana Country Club

Texarkana Country Club is an 18-hole course in Texarkana, Arkansas, with roots stretching back to 1914, when the club opened with a nine-hole layout featuring sand greens. In 1922, the membership commissioned Chicago architectural firm Langford and Moreau to design the current course. Langford is recognized for his use of deep bunkers and sloping greens, characteristics that remain central to the layout today. A renovation completed in spring 2000 brought the course to 6,935 yards from the championship tees while preserving the feel of the original design. Playing surfaces include Tifdwarf Bermuda-grass greens, Zoysia tees, hybrid Bermuda fairways, and common Bermuda roughs. The course is maintained in tournament condition year-round and has hosted multiple state amateur events, the Mid-South Cup Matches, the National Youth Classic, and six Ben Hogan/Nike Tour events.
