Teshikawa Country Club

Teshikawa Country Club is an 18-hole parkland-style course in Teshikaga, Hokkaido Prefecture, set on the plain that rises toward Lake Mashu. The majority of holes play flat across open terrain, framed by the wide, natural scenery characteristic of Hokkaido. On the hillside sections, several holes shift in character, with woodland lining both sides of the fairway to create a more enclosed, forest-course feel. Fairways throughout are generously wide, and the greens are large with few guard bunkers, keeping scoring relatively approachable. The open flat holes do carry a catch: with little tree cover to break the wind, misjudging the breeze can turn a straightforward round into an unexpected battle.
