Terre dei Consoli Golf Club (Championship) is an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. design located less than 20 miles north of Rome, in Lazio, Italy. Playing to a par 72, the course stretches from 6,550 to 7,550 yards for championship play. The layout is best described as open parkland, shaped to follow the natural contours of undulating terrain — a hallmark of Trent Jones Jr.'s philosophy of letting nature lead. History runs through the course in a literal sense. The ancient Via Francigena, the pilgrim road once travelled from France to Rome, crosses the layout at the end of the par-5 8th hole. Behind the par-4 11th green, Monterosi Lake marks the site where Pope Hadrian IV crowned Frederick I Barbarossa as emperor. The course name itself recalls a territory held dear by Roman Consuls during the Roman Empire.
