Tapton Park Golf Club (Markham) is a parkland 18-hole course in Chesterfield, England, and a popular round among Hole19 golfers in England, rated 4.1 by the community. Established in 1934, the Markham Course stretches over 6,000 yards and plays to par 72. The undulating terrain rolls through a parkland setting, offering views across Chesterfield that take in the famous Crooked Spire. It is one of five Pay and Play courses operated by SIV, and with over 400 members across men's, seniors, ladies, and junior sections, new members are always welcome. Additional facilities include a 9-hole Academy course for practice, a pitch and putt course, and a bar with outdoor seating serving food and drinks.

Nick MarlowFebruary 22, 2026Not played Markham in many years but after returning from long haitus I had been impressed with the work done on Dobbin ( played the 9 a lot in recent months). Played my first 18 on Markham today, lovely course, a good test, tough in places. Very boggy underfoot and a few heavily waterlogged greens ( a weather issue not a course issue) but looking lovely and can't wait for drier play.
