Suncadia Resort (Tumble Creek)

Suncadia Resort (Tumble Creek) is an 18-hole private course in Washington State, designed by Tom Doak and recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top private courses in America. Doak is widely regarded as one of the finest living golf course designers, and in 2005 Golf Digest ranked three of his courses — Pacific Dunes at Bandon Dunes, Cape Kidnappers, and Barnbougle — among the top 50 in the world. Working as a minimalist, Doak shaped Tumble Creek by moving as little earth as possible, letting the natural landscape guide the routing. The course flows through pine forests, along river bluffs, and across open meadows framed by mountain peaks, with rolling terrain that gives each hole a distinct character rooted in the land itself.
