Sun City Golf Club

Sun City Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Taiwan Province, developed from 1988 and officially opened at the end of 1993 after nearly four years of construction. Spanning approximately 76 hectares, the course was personally designed by chairman Yu Sen-Hsiung with a strong commitment to natural conservation. Over 250,000 trees of various species have been planted across the property, with each of the 18 fairways lined by a distinct tree variety — an approach reminiscent of Augusta National's use of tree species to define individual holes, and one that has become the course's signature characteristic. The layout follows the natural contours of the hills and water, and its sheltered position blocks the northeast monsoon winds during autumn and winter, resulting in calmer conditions, less fog, and generally favorable weather throughout those seasons.
