Hole 1 sets the tone at Staddon Heights Golf Club with a short par 4 guarded by a large island bunker beside the green, while hole 6 brings a challenging water hole into play. Hole 7 is noted for one of the finest views on the course — part of a cliff-top layout above Plymouth Sound with sightlines stretching along the Devon and Cornwall coastline to Dartmoor and Bodmin hills. The course opened in 1904 and plays as an 18-hole, par-70 layout at 6,068 yards. Semi-private access makes it open to visiting golfers. Rated 4.8 by 60+ Hole19 golfers, it is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in England. Inside the clubhouse, Horizons Restaurant serves sandwiches, baps, paninis, main courses, salads, locally caught fish, and Sunday roasts. The bar carries a wide range of beers, wines, spirits, real ales, and soft drinks. Function rooms, the Centenary Room, and Club Lounge are also available.
