I used to play this course many years ago when I first started and wasn't expecting much.....and wasn't disappointed ! Its a great layout but the greens are atrocious not one decent one amongst them , and as for the 10th that's just a bad joke surely ? I persuaded 3 other golfers to come play this because its near my home and I should refund their money , worth £100 for a 4 ball ? Not on your nelly ! It is and always will be a course you take your 1st clubs , won't be back !

Solid enough course but a little rough in terms of presentation, some semi-bare greens, and no ball cleaners. Does not take water well, and several areas of sludge at the troughs of undulating ground on the longer par 4/5 holes. Worth checking out on a sunny day.

The course is shit, 2 stars at a push.

Quite a challenging course , not played here for a long time but enjoyed my return only marred by 2 things firstly the state of the greens apart from 8 12 & 14 ....I know they've had problems and hopefully will resolve them soon but apart from the aforementioned were pretty dire , I can put badly enough on my own but some were almost unplayable and secondly the etiquette of a 4 ball in front was none existent they should have waved us through on several occasions but we'd already been warned by another group they never let anyone play through....later found out they were members ! I'll give it another try because I still enjoyed it and live very close , but feel in my own mind this course will struggle to lift its game and always carry the stigma of having been a council run course and some people still treat it as such !
