Considering the rain the course is in outstanding condition

South Winchester is absolutely mint. The facilities are spot on, the staff are brilliant, and the course itself is straight-up stunning — especially in November. Even after the non-stop British rain, the place is rolling beautifully with grass hills everywhere. It’s the kind of course that really tests your golf game… …which is unfortunate, because I don’t actually have one. As a 29-handicap golfer (and that’s being generous), I spent more time raking bunkers than I did hitting actual shots. Honestly, I’m convinced the bunkers were chasing me. Miss the fairway? Bunker. Hit what felt like a perfect iron? Bunker. Try to avoid trouble? Two-putt into another bunker. I reckon the greens crew owe me a free pint for all the landscaping I did. None of this is the course’s fault — the place is unreal. It’s just that my golf swing appears to be on annual leave. If you’re a decent golfer, you’ll love every inch of it. If you’re like me… bring extra balls, a sense of humour, and maybe a small shovel. Fantastic day out though. 10/10, would visit again (once I recover emotionally). ⛳😂

Good course quite open but with a few challenging holes. Course was in very good condition for the time of year and lack of rain we have had.
