South Herts Golf Club (Rees)

South Herts Golf Club (Rees) is a 9-hole, par-28 course measuring 1,489 yards, located in London, England. Its origins date to 1934, though the course was abandoned during the Second World War when the land was given over to the Dig for Victory campaign. It reopened in the early 1950s as a six-hole layout designed by Dai Rees, and was extended to its current nine holes under his supervision in 1969. The 9th hole — 177 yards to a small green set into a hillside — is considered as testing as anything on the club's longer Vardon Course. The Rees Course suits experienced golfers looking to sharpen their short game, and serves equally well as an introduction to the sport for newcomers developing their understanding of the rules and etiquette of golf.
