Set in Shelly Beach, Auckland, New Zealand, South Head Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private course designed by Jack Eccles and opened in 1970. The layout includes a lakeside hole at the 9th and an elevated hole at the 10th, known as Eagles Nest. The club has hosted several tournaments, including the South Head Maori Tournament, the South Head Men and Women Open Championships, the Claude and Shawn Gyde Venison Day Tournament, and the Helen Steedman Memorial Plate and Reg Webber Masters Tournament. The clubhouse holds photos and mementoes from the club's history, and bar keys are available behind the bar.

Kim RandellJune 01, 2018Today I thought Southhead was manicured as well as the PGA courses in the USA. Compliments to the green staff and the club. My partner and I played a lot of golf but it was definitely not the courses fault. Absolutely glorious, thank you. We found the greens to be very hard and fast. It took about half the round to come to terms with our approaches and chips but we eventually got it right. Thanks heaps green staff.
