Silecroft Golf Club

Silecroft Golf Club occupies a narrow strip of coastal land along the Irish Sea, on the edge of Silecroft village in the Western Lake District. The setting is defined by vast sandy beaches and the imposing bulk of Black Combe rising behind the village to the north. The 18-hole layout offers views in every direction. From the first tee, the Isle of Man is visible across the water on a clear day. Looking south, Barrow-in-Furness and Walney Island come into view as you work through the course. On calm, sunny days the course presents challenges suited to all handicaps. When the wind picks up off the Irish Sea, the difficulty rises considerably — a quality that defines many great coastal layouts.
