Showa no Mori Golf Course

Showa no Mori Golf Course is a 36-hole woodland layout in Akishima, Tokyo, where two very different nines share the same flat fairways but deliver contrasting experiences. The back nine is a classic tree-lined course, with dense forest tightly separating each hole. Fairways feel narrower here, and wayward shots are quickly punished — accuracy off the tee matters more than distance. The front nine opens things up considerably. The trees are plentiful but lower, giving the course a more spacious, airy feel. That openness comes with a trade-off, though: the greens and their surrounds are notably challenging, keeping scoring in check even when the tee shots feel manageable.
