Shirakawa Meadow Golf Club

Shirakawa Meadow Golf Club is an 18-hole highland course set on former pastureland in Tenei, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, at around 950 metres above sea level — high enough to play with clouds visible below. The terrain rolls in gentle, broad undulations throughout. Most holes are laid out in a straightforward style, with clear sightlines from tee to green except on the dogleg holes. The fairways are lined with dense, low-growing trees that make them feel narrower than they actually are, though each hole carries a reasonable width in practice. The overall design is orthodox and accessible, rewarding accurate play through corridors of thick woodland on a naturally open hillside course.
