Shenandoah Iowa Golf Course

Shenandoah Iowa Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-70 public layout designed by Chic Adams and opened in 1956, playing to 5,803 yards from the longest tees. Creeks, ponds, sand bunkers, and mature trees shape the layout throughout. Hole 2, the longest on the course, requires a tee shot that carries both a creek and a pond. Hole 5 tightens as out-of-bounds left and a narrowing tree line close in toward the green. Hole 13 is a dogleg-left par 4 with a risk-reward driver line over the corner. Hole 14 features a large Cottonwood tree guarding the left side, a creek line, and a two-tiered putting surface. Hole 18 plays from an elevated tee framed by large trees that funnel the view down to the fairway and green. The course hosts the 2-Man Best Ball Calcutta, Ladies Golf Tournament, Monday Night League, and Tuesday Night League. Practice facilities include a driving range and a large putting green. The Elm Street Grill is a full-service restaurant open most evenings for public dining and available for private functions. A full-service pro shop is also on site.
