Shark River Golf Course is a classic New Jersey layout designed by Scottish golf professional Joseph "Scotty" I'Anson in the early 1900s, and it remains one of the most-played courses in New Jersey on Hole19. The course plays to 6,457 yards across 18 holes, but modest length does not mean easy scoring. Tight, narrow fairways and deep-faced bunkers demand accuracy off the tee, while small, well-protected greens make approach play equally demanding. The routing offers genuine variety — a short, drivable par 4, a long and risky par 5, and several strong par 3s keep every round engaging.
