Bret PinsonJuly 05, 2021I believe this course is in better condition than any in a 100 mile radius at least. Greens are especially true-rolling. Perhaps a bit on the soft side, which is great for scoring. For difficulty, I’d say it is only a fair 3.8/10 (10 being most difficult): so a pretty great course for any handicap. A few years ago Shady Oaks got a course manager/greens keeper who really knows his business, and they turned this golf course from an average West Texas golf course into a great one. Not a lot of frills to the property, if you are into that fancy “country club vibe”, but I know I don’t care about that. They put their money where it matters, into the greens.
