San Andrés Golf Club is Argentina's oldest golf club, with roots stretching back to 1885, when Valentine G.G. Scroggie — later the club's first Captain — challenged V.H. Masters on what is now the Plaza de San Martín. The 18-hole course was designed by Scottish professional Mungo Park in 1907, and those original fairways remain in play today. San Andrés has hosted the Abierto de la República Argentina more times than any other venue, making it a landmark in Argentine golf history.
